Happy Meals

Posted on February 20, 2013

Dave and I have been doing taste tests with Little Johnny for the last couple weeks. He’s been loving it. Using the big chair, opening wide, enjoying each bite, and wanting more. Today’s the day. Its official, Our little man is graduating from being a taste tester to big boy eater of puree meals, 2x a day. How fast time flies.

So far Lil Johnny has only been eating jarred baby food. Its easy, breezy, and reasonably priced. I know this can’t last forever. And he unfortunately can’t live off of jars until he’s 18. Ugh. I started to Google how much it costs to hire a cook when it hits me. One step at a time! I don’t need a cook.. well not yet at least… what I need is a blender. But wait. That means that I’m going to have to learn how to use a blender.  I’m going to have to buy fruits and veggies for the blender. I’m going to have to essentially – gasp – cook! I get a sick feeling in my stomach.

The closest I’ve ever been to a blender is a blended frozen margarita in my hand. Made by a bartender.

I Google blenders. Oh my. These look frickin’ confusing. There’s about 62,000 options.

I close my computer. I can’t do this right now.  It’s overwhelming. Okay, and now I’m craving a margarita.
